STEP 1: Individual tax organizers and source documents are sorted, scanned and sent electronically by the CPA firm with the previous year's return (using a data file from the tax software which may be pro System fx, Ultra Tax, Proseries or Lacerate, Tax-wise etc ) to cosmic's secure US-based hosting site.

STEP 2: Cosmic’s Tax compliance Manager Will overseas Tax compliance Analyst’s (TCA) access the files using a secure server and process them remotely. No client documents ever leave the U.S.

STEP 3: Cosmic’s TCA prepares review notes and send them to the CPA firm for clarification. Additionally, e-mails indicating that review notes for a specific taxpayer have been posted to the site and are awaiting review are automatically generated to appropriate contacts at the CPA firm.

STEP 4: once clarifications have been answered and open items cleared, the overseas TCA will completes the return, submits it to a supervisor for review and posts it to the cosmic’s workflow management web site for the CPA's final review and processing.
